Who wants a Baby?

Not really, I just mean the super cute baby gifts I made last night that make you want one! And I have not been able to post anything else, because all my post pictures are on my camera and my husband lost the cord to connect the camera to the computer.... Thanks hon.

The babies are all boys with different themes to their nurseries so I tried to match them. They are just a frame, fabric, buttons and super glue. I will have a tutorial next week for you all!

10 Minute Jewelry Holder

I love a quick craft project. Anything more than a couple of hours starts to loose my attention. Not that I am ADD or ADHD (I have never known the difference), I just have more things to do with my time since I have two little kids running around destroying my house. So I did a quick project to enjoy myself for a few minutes. A 10 minute jewelry holder. I actually prompted me to go through the jewelry I have a give away things I do not wear. Considering I really only wear jewelry on Sundays to church, I thought about having less. One step at a time...

Just a blank canvas I had lying around

A bottle of $.97 paint, foam brush and tape that comes off easily--I did not have painters tape

Hard to see, but tape of the shape you want, I did stripes

Paint freely because there is tape to save you, I did not do the sides

I love the look of canvas

The closet is a soon to be project. We had this giant armoire from our move and did not know where to put it. So it went in the closet and became my dresser of sorts. All my clothes are to the left, in a 2 foot spot. Everything else to the right and above is Steve's. Someday I will explain. 

When the paint dried, a whole 15 minutes, I put in some push pins in the frame of the canvas and hung my necklaces from it. Everything else jewelery wise in in the silver tray, find similar idea HERE.

Internet Down/Toddler Bed Mix Up

So I did not have internet the last day and a half. So my Monday post had to wait. But... you know those weekends where you have this one great project in mind to do? And tell everyone about it? Like on your blog... Yeah. My cute wall post is going to wait a couple of days. Because, other projects came up in between. 

And I mean plural projects. I had 3 projects I was working on this weekend and only one got done. And that was the yard with all of our new seeds and little trees and weeding and lawn fertilizing... so you can see why that took priority. 

Then I started on Isaiah's toddler bed. I got it at the Idaho Youth Ranch about a month ago for $6. But, it was only the head and foot board. Which I thought would be a great project for me to do and it is time for him to move out of the crib. (We have two kids in cribs right now). 

So we got all the supplies from Home Depot we needed, including MY new toy. 

Yes, it is a sander. Oh baby. 

Then when we started taking more measurements we realized that the head and foot board are for a Twin size bed. But we will be making a few small cuts and drilling a few holes, and then we will have the Toddler bed! But due to weather and spring cleaning and the like, it is on hold on the back porch until tomorrow. Where we will begin painting!

I started with the "spindles" inside the boards and they took forever!

I used an 80 grit paper for the sanding because they were really dirty and the paint was white, but rather old. And like I said, it took me 2 hours and when I finally finished it was time to get the kids in bed, plus the daylight was fading. I was doing it on my back porch due to the fact that we don't have a garage.
